Oh dear. The little houses are begging to have attention paid to them again. This one came to me last night...so here it is for others to pay attention to as well. It's name is Walking With the Stars.

So my poor mama tripped over a footstool whilst decorating her Christmas tree and landed on her knee. Only trouble is she heard a loud C-R-A-C-K in her leg just shortly after touching knee to floor. Apparently she did quite a good job of breaking her femur and now sports the addition of a titanium rod inserted down the center of said femur from hip to knee. OUCH. Always has to out-do her youngest daughter! The pitiful steel plate and screws in my ankle seem pretty piddly compared to a Titanium Rod for heaven's sake! She's home now and doing well and we're all very, very grateful for her good health and spunky attitude. Anyhoo, I thought of this cartoon the night she fell. If you click on the image it will grow to a readable size:

Department meetings...
We have departmental meetings on Tuesdays during the lunch hour. So I doodle.
The drawing above is the one I did today - it's called "Waterfall".
I think it would be fun to do a series of Departmental Meeting Doodles and then have a show of them titled "Something from Nothing" or something like that... I had the perfect title at the end of the meeting, but I've now forgotten what it was. Of course.
Where I work I'm considered to be part of the "non-essential"personnel, so when my little town gets a heavy snow, I don't have to come in to work. Which suits me just fine. I don't have to do much at the meetings and I have more time to doodle-doodle-do!

Fragile Dreams I, II, III (studies for small "quilts" in cheesecloth)
I've been working on three small "quilts" to submit to a national fiber show jury. These are the working drawings. Each "quilt" is about 30"x36" and will be hung simply with two T pins so they droop a bit and respond to any air movement around them. The little circles that hang from the front are semi-transparent leaf forms made from shrinkydink plastic. I actually like these little renderings as much as I do the real pieces!
